Using Google Analytics we analyze our ads, organic, direct, and social traffic. We have found that by far the best source of social traffic is the My Home’s Story program. Instead of just attracting random users who are searching for decorating ideas online (a popular social media strategy), we enable and motivate our homebuyers to post about their new homes on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, blogs and more. The share buttons include a link to our site, so we are not just spreading the word about McArthur Homes. We are also driving traffic to our website. The best part is that friends and family of our homebuyers make great prospects. Since implementing the My Home’s Story program two years ago, we’ve seen a 400% increase in referral sales! Now that is a cost-effective use of social media.
